Forgotten Parks Asbl

Forgotten Parks Asbl is a non-profit organisation (association sans but lucratif (Asbl)) incorporated and registered in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Together with the Congolese Nature Conservation Authority (ICCN), Forgotten Parks Asbl is responsible for the management of Upemba National Park (UNP). UNP is one of Africa's oldest national parks and comprises > 1 million hectares of grasslands, woodlands, rivers and wetlands. The park is home to exceptional biodiversity and serves as a refuge for the DRC's last pure savannah elephants and wild zebra populations, as well as the endemic Upemba lechwe, buffalos, leopards and at least 424 different bird species.
